Hannah Maddux led the team with 15 kills on. Kills became few and far between for USA as Texas State left no doubt in the 25-17 set. In the third set, South kept up with Texas State into the double digits, but six unanswered Bobcat points left the Jaguars lagging behind. Maddux traded points with Texas State but USA lost another close set, 25-22. Maddux and Niki Capizzi both opened with multiple kills in the second set, but a pair of aces began another Bobcat run, this on 9-1 that left the Jaguars behind. A USA run put them back within two, but the Jaguars were unable to keep pace with the Bobcats as Texas State took the opening set, 25-20. Hannah Maddux opened strong with back to back aces, but a 12-2 run early full of Jaguar errors created a climb for South.
